Mothers navigate this path sometimes with supportive partners, and too often without. The toll is immense, and the worry of how to financially care for themselves and their newborn after birth can overshadow what should be a time for bonding and joy.
A Story from Home
In my home country of Ghana, while national health insurance and employer schemes provide vital coverage for many, a gap remains for mothers in vulnerable financial situations. For them, lacking a safety net, even a modest hospital discharge fee can become an overwhelming barrier. This burden replaces what should be a critical time of recovery and connection with stress and uncertainty.
Our Direct Response: Enna's Initiative
This is where our initiative steps in. Guided by the enduring principle of giving a portion of one's wealth to those in need; we dedicate a share of every sale to this cause. Charity begins at home. Our primary objective is to:
- Cover discharge fees to grant mothers and newborns a timely, dignified homecoming.
- Provide "New Beginnings Kits" with essential items for their first weeks together.
We are not a distant charity but a direct bridge from your purchase to a mother's moment of relief. The goal is to start where the need is personal and urgent, right here in Ghana, focusing our energy and resources to make a meaningful difference in our own community.
